Cannabis worth Rs 5.58 lakh found from unclaimed bag at Bokaro Station
Bokaro Railway Protection Force, during Operation Narcos, seized 11.17 kg of ganja in an unclaimed trolley bag at Bokaro Steel City Railway Station. The suspicious blue bag was found unattended near the Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Express. After questioning passengers yielded no owner, the four-packet haul was handed over to GRP Bokaro for further investigation.
Bokaro: The RPF seized 11.17 kg of ganja from an unclaimed trolley bag at Bokaro Steel City Railway Station during a routine inspection under Operation Narcos. The recovery was made when Bhubaneswar–Dhanbad Express arrived at the station on Monday.The officer in-charge of Bokaro RPF post, Santosh Kumar, said, “RPF personnel noticed a blue trolley bag lying unattended between the S-8 sleeper coach and a general coach, prompting suspicion.Passengers in the vicinity were questioned, but no one came forward to claim the bag,” he said. It contained four packets wrapped in brown tape. The seized ganja was handed to GRP Bokaro. An investigation is underway.
